Time to celebrate my first year on Steemit! Here is my story…
Hi everybody welcome to my first birthday on Steemit! I thought about on how to celebrate for a long time and decided to create seven posts, one post every day in the week I was born here on Steemit.
First of all I want to say thanks to all my followers because in the end that’s what it’s all about! I interacted with so many great people and I was able to read so many nice blogs created by great people on the platform! So please everybody keep sharing!

When I started to think about how I could celebrate me being on Steemit for a year I realized that many people that recently started to follow me don’t know who I am! Sure they read my posts but missed out on how it all started for me. Therefore I decided to re-introduce myself and give you an insight on how it all started here on Steemit for me.
It all started very simple, I just came home after traveling on and off for years and really wanted to connect with travel minded people. One day my friends 
I always say coming back is not the same as never leaving therefore I wanted to use my blog to help create a spot for travel junkies to share tips, tricks and stories in order to help people around the world and create a network of travelers. Looking back on my first year here I succeeded partly but for sure I interacted with many great people!
My trips to Asia for six months, living in Australia for one year in Canada for two and working on a Cruiseship are behind me and I am in Amsterdam for over a year right now, but I feel that the time is coming soon to go on the road again.
After around six months in to my Steemit adventure I added posts about my other passion to my account, Basketball! And since then I am posting about the NBA weekly.
First year facts
I had many ups and downs on the platform, overall I still love it but with downs I mean don’t having the time to really grow my account and in the like everybody in the beginning putting in a lot of time and get any following in return.
But a year has passed and I am committed to Steemit for the long run, really believe in the platform and the potential that is still undiscovered.
