You can see this face-shaped peak almost from everywhere in Jasper and going there was quite a challenge: an elevation gain of more of 1200 m in 4.5 Km! Fortunately most of the path is under the trees, if you go early it won't be very hot when facing the rocky part.
Before leaving the treeline you start having a nice sight of the city. Then, you "scramble" in some sections to arrive to the Man's front and walk on the ridge. You can stop there, you have a view of the valley behind the mountain but it is not too difficult to go to the "nose", relax and eat enjoying the beautiful landscape :-) ...reaching the chin is not possible (at least it was not for me).
Athabasca river and the Lakes Patricia and Pyramid. Top 1/4 from left, the Whistlers the other emblematic mountains of Jasper.
"Almost" there...
It starts getting though
At the top! The ridge is the "front"
... and the views!
After going down and having a good rest I finished the day riding a bike along the Athabasca river during the sunset hours...The Whistlers can also be seen from there
