When To Get Away
We are all toiling away for something. Happiness. Money. Satisfaction. Freedom. Whatever the object is it will require work that may take a toll on your health in the process of obtaining it. Yes even the things we actually enjoy. Still dealing with sickness and then feeling the onslaught of screen lag, I made a decision to escape for a bit. I needed to get my eyes away from the screen and onto miles and miles of nature. We have to sometimes force ourselves to get way or otherwise our bodies will force us to instead. I have been in the position before where my body literally forced me to get away. It's called burnout. I have made up in my mind to not go back there, so I chose to escape instead.
But when do I get away? When you are starting to be more frustrated and upset than not then it's time. When working becomes your idol then it's time. When your health take a turn for the worse then it's time. You have to do you own self inventory in order to answer these questions. I encourage you to step away for a bit to regain some energy and refocus if you are in this situation. I feel much better now that I did that and it is back to my work and continuing to live out my purpose.
