Dogs Of Caye Caulker, Belize
I woke up early to catch magic hour with my canon t2i and 24mm fixed lens. Its a great lens and its always fun to go on a photo adventure with just one fixed lens, it helps you develop a perspective for the set of images. This was back in 2016, when my wife and I took a vacation and stayed on the island of Caye Caulker in Belize.
It wasn't long before a dog sprinted past me. My wife was still sleeping, but she loves dogs even more than me so I figured I'd try and get some shots.
It wasn't long before I saw another dog.
and then a couple more who came to say hello.
As the sun rose I headed back to the apartment we had rented on air bnb to see if me wife was awake. Once she woke up we headed into town. We found a man who rescued strays and repaired bicycles to help pay for the care of the animals. We made a small donation to his cause. He told us how the island used to poison strays, but that they now were starting to have better policies towards the dogs of Caye Caulker. Eva was in heaven and got to bottle feed some kittens.
And then we saw some more dogs throughout the rest of the day. Some of them wore collars others didn't some were probably strays but they were all very friendly.
thank you all for your support steemit has been so amazing so far! Maybe one day I'll be able to travel the world making music and taking photos!
