Hey, I recognize those spots too and even went to the little ancient stone shrine area earlier this year. I am actually in the process of posting about my trip to Japan and will have some photos like yours. Of course, they won't be as good as yours, I am not a good picture taker.
Did you go to the chopstick shop on the way to the shrine and get them engraved? I would also recommend seeing Kinkaku, you will have to pay which is a bummer but it's such a good example of a Buddhist hall.
