I should have a solid video for y'all in the coming days, once we finally arrive at our final destination and I have anytime what so ever to upload and edit and all that fun stuff.
This is the place I've called my internet home for the past 5 years, so it's only right I give ya a lil sneak peak into how things have been going.
We left Wednesday morning at 9:03 am and it has been non-stop GO since then.
One night was spent at my cousins place, in rural Kansas.
You know when someone says "Make yourself at home?", and even though they said it, you still didn't really feel comfortable, let alone, feel like you were in your own home?....They didn't even have to say it, and we literally felt like we could just kick our feet up and relax. They had a blast with our kids, now that their's are all grown. We couldn't have had a better time with them. I told them I'd give them 5 stars for their Airbnb. Top notch.
After Kansas it was the longest stretch of the trip. Kansas City to Austin, Texas. A grueling 11 hours and 10 minutes....did I mention we have 3 kids 4 and under?! I should have mentioned that.
God help us.
Jk, they've actually, surprisingly, thankfully, been really well behaved....in the car. It's when you let them free of their car seat restraints of torture and doom do they let loose all the energy they've pent up for the past how ever many hours sitting there.
Trying to have dinner tonight was like herding cats. I've always said, "my kids would never behave that way!", when I would see kids misbehaving at a restaurant. But...
Holy shit. My apologies to all those parents out there just trying to have a meal....in public...in semi-peace. For real. I feel you.
Anywho, just thought I'd sneak in and say hello and let y'all know we are safe and sound and enjoying our travels, just like I let my momma know.
We are on our 3rd city and overnight currently. Then one more, and then we'll be where we really want to be.
I hope you'll enjoy following this journey with me/us. It's already been a lot of fun.
Thanks for reading amigos!
Stay tuned for the video and please, check me out on YT so we can funnel more people over to this decentralized, lovely community, we call Hive.
