Last weekend me and my friends have traveled to one of the best places for nature lovers which is Coorg. Coorg, officially known as Kodagu (district), is the most affluent hill station in Karnataka, India. It is also known as the Scotland of India for its natural beauty. It is well known for its breathtakingly exotic scenery and lush greenery. Forest covered hills, spice and coffee plantations only add to the landscape. Madikeri is the region's center point with all transportation for getting around starting from here.
Coorg is also famous for its coffee plantations. It is one of the highest producers of coffee in India. You must visit the Tata plantation trails of coffee in Coorg and enjoy the freshly brewed coffee made from the fresh cocoa beans. To gain the best experience you can also choose to stay at one of the resorts located right in the centre of coffee fields. Another precious thing that Coorg boasts of proudly is the Indian spices that are grown here and are considered the best in the world. Famous for its pepper, cardamom and cloves, the soothing aroma of spices keeps the air of Coorg pleasant.

We are 5 friends who went for the trip including me. The one in yellow t-shirt is me.
We started on Saturday morning at 11:00 am from Bangalore, and distance from Bangalore to Coorg was around 250 km and it took us 6 hrs to reach there. We have pre-booked a home-stay in Coorg and we reached our home stay at around 6:00 pm ( as we have stopped for lunch on the way ; ) ) . Luckily we got the home-stay located in the center of coffee plantations which made our stay much more thrilling. Our home-stay is located on the outskirts of Madikeri town. Here are some pics of our home-stay.
This is the path to our stay.
After reaching our home-stay we refreshed and had got ready for the barbecue which we had for our dinner . We prepared the barbecue ourselves btw.
( Due to flash red hot coal became white ; ) )
After having our dinner we played Rummy with playing cards and slept for the day. This is what we did on day one. Also as the trip was long ( three days ) and I have much more to share I'm splitting the whole trip into three posts each one for a day. Stay tuned for what we have experienced on day 2 and day 3.
All the pics were taken by me and my friends.
