I’d love to share with you our escapades to the beautiful island of Boracay. Me and my girl friends decided to go on a date with the beauty of Boracay. LOL. Not the usual boy and girl date.
Where is Boracay?
Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila City and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island, in Western Visayas region of the Pearl of the Orient, Philippines.

Did you know?
Boracay is one of the three Islands that scored a spot on Travel and Leisure’s Worlds Best Island list in 2017. No wonder because this place is indeed breathtaking.
White Beach is the centre of the action in Boracay and the only sight most visitors ever see. Foreigners and locals never miss to visit this island especially during the hottest season of the year. It stands out for its more than 7 kilometers of white sand and crystal clear water.
It is divided in three (3) stations, so what are the differences?
STATION 1 – Extravagant Resorts/Hotels, Stunning White Beach & Beautiful Sunset
- If you have not on a budget and have the money to spend, your stay will definitely be luxurious!!!
STATION 2 – For Shopping and Partying
- This place is always crowded, jam-packed with people from everywhere. Here you can find many shops, restaurants and clubs.
STATION 3 - Calm and affordable
- This area is not crowded. Isolated from the hustle and bustle of the other stations. If you want to enjoy and still want tranquility, I recommend you stay here.
- You can find nice accommodation at a lower price.
- This is a bit far from Station 1, but who cares? Your vacation is full of fun anyways.

How to?
We chose to land to Caticlan, but you also have an option to be routed to Kalibo. Both options are fine, however, you will pay a bit more to Caticlan, but you are much closer to Boracay. Just be practical by booking a budget friendly flight.
- Book a flight going to Boracay (look for the cheapest rate)
- Go to NAIA Terminal 3
- We chose to land to Caticlan
- From Caticlan Airport, we rode a tricycle going to Jetty Port
- Then you are just 15-20 minutes away to the white beach of Boracay
How much? (Fees may vary)
From Caticlan Airport to Jetty Port - 50php ($0.97usd)
Jetty Port terminal fee 100php ($1.93usd)
Environmental fee – 75php ($1.75usd)
Bangka/Boat ticket to Boracay – 25php ($0.48usd)
What to do? Prices may vary depending on if its peak or off peak seasons
Food Trip
- Of course, this should be the first on the list. Lol.
- There are a lot of affordable restaurants from Station 1-3, however station 2 has a more budget friendly deal
Scuba Diving
- Beginners course - around 3000 – 3500php ($57.87 - $67.52usd)
- If you are already a certified diver – 1500 – 1600php ($28.94 -$30.86usd)
Island Hopping
- 1000 up to 2500 php ($19.29 - $48.50usd) depending on the size of the boat and seasons
Cliff Diving
- 1500 – 1600php ($28.94 -$30.86usd) with mostly has a meal package
Zipline and Zorb
- Zipline – 700php ($13.50usd)
- Zorb - 400 – 500php ($7.72 – $9.65usd)
ATV Ride
- Per unit – 800 – 1000php ($15.43 - $19.29usd)
Paraw Sailing
- 1000 – 1500php ($19.29 - -$30.86usd)
Stand-up Paddling
- 300 – 500php per hour ($5.79 - $9.65)
Parasailing
- $750 – 2500php ($14.47 - $48.23usd) depending on the number of people in a group
Massage
- Oh my ghee… this is my favorite amongst other activities.LOL

As you can see, I didn’t wear the life vest, as I am not afraid of water. LOL.
Me and Joie (my friend) arrived at around 5 PM Manila time. The flight and boat ride was a bit tiring since we came off from our grave yard shift from work. So we opted to sleep first before meeting our other friends who went ahead of us the day before.
We stayed at White House Beach Resort, located at Station 1. We were lucky to have a couple of discounts on the package that we acquired (you could get great deals if you’ll be patient in looking for them. ). Hence despite being on a budget, we were able to secure lodgings at Station 1. We stayed 4 days & 3 nights.
Then the next day, we started to roam around and discover what the island can offer.
We can’t start the day without coffee, so we had a sip from our favorite cafe… yes STARBUCKS. Haha.

- For only 300php ($5.75usd) – it varies depending on your choice of design. For me it was a butterfly.
