We had never visited Ronda, it was the first time we stepped on this land and then we realized that entire Andalucía is full of exciting stories, wars, treaties and above all romanticism.

The latter is the case of Ronda, which they call the "Romantic Ronda" in May, which makes us travel in time, at the same time as bandits, muleteers and soldiers armed with trabucos, rifles and cannons, accompanied by ladies And ladies of brothel.
This fair represents a love story, written by a romantic traveler, between a guerrilla serrano and a rondeña, which is pursued by the French and managed to save itself thanks to other Ronda hills.
Apparently this love story was drawn from a real story very similar to the written and Romantic Round intends to get us and understand this majestic landscape taken to an earlier time.

In these days the rondeños and rondeñas dress of time and they go out to the street with their trabucos, machetes and cannons to fight against the French that at that time pretended to conquer round. Some women do housework and some take their weapons to join the fight.
Every year we visit Ronda Romántica, the fullness is absolute, an atmosphere of respect but with its puny touch, can even make you participate in your feats or delinquencies that make up the story. Its great and friendly people overflow in the Serrania de Ronda.

This fair in addition to giving us the opportunity to see plays of the time around every corner, we offer equestrian events where horses dance with women, make their competitions and compete before a judge.
They also allow us to taste and buy at the cheese stalls from many corners of Andalusia including Spain, some great cheeses that I can recommend. Iberian barbecues, grilled vegetables, paellas and much more traditional food from the Ronda mountain range.

Every year we enjoy as children as we watch the carousel of horses, carriages and rondeños dressed in vintage, the sounds of cannons and weapons and the plays at every historic corner of Ronda.
I RECOMMEND TO SEE IT !!
