Sounds like a fun way to break the ice. I certainly would join in if I were ever at a hostel and that was going on. I backpack a lot and it is tough to meet people sometimes when you're just hiking and not going out drinking, socializing etc. Yeah, you've got a pretty cool way of meeting people. Following you now.
