Seriously, how good is this tree and it's surroundings!
Here we are, on a little island called Siargao, one of the many thousands that constitutes the Philippines; Two other mates on mopeds plus myself, we are zipping along in a somewhat reckless manner and all of a sudden we stumble across this hidden gem. Like a group of synchronised divers, we simultaneously turned our heads down towards this little water way.
In front of us, presented this magnificent tree standing tall among a forest of a million other palms.
I had to climb it; there was no way I wasn't going to get to the top of that tree. I trenched through mud in my trusty pair of birkenstocks (yes they managed to survive) and started to scale the tree. It had a few axe holes up the length of the tree, but it was old and it was scary.
The water below was worryingly shallow and there were hundreds of ants trying to cause havoc.
Alas, I got to the top and my good mate snapped this stellar picture of me.
