Plantation Bay Resort & Spa is one of the famous 4 star beach resort situated in Mactan Island, Cebu in my home country, Philippines.
One thing to note about Plantation Bay is that it is a massive man-made environment that takes pride in their man-made lagoons, huge swimming pools, with small private beach, man-made spring, hospitable staff, and unique activities & events.
The man made lagoons have a cement floor.
The beach around the lagoon is also man-made – although the sand is real ;-)
The rocks around the beach are made of cement or plastic.

There is also an open-sea beachfront (not man-made – all natural) at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, which is about 88 metres long.
They also have water sports and activities such as island-hopping tours, para-sailing, snorkeling , scuba diving & whale shark encounter.
What makes our trip here unforgettable is my mermaid swimming lesson experience at Ocean Gems Academy.
