Travelling is Healing Series
There are just moments that I want to breakfree from all stresses that life has brought upon me. And where else could I lay back and enjoy the fresh air and inhale the natural smell of mother nature, Hoyohoy Highland Park.
Hoyohoy has always been my stress reliever. Though its only an hour away from my home, I still consider it travelling. For me, I think that travelling is a way to smoothen the rough edges of troubled thoughts and tidy up the messy wires of the chaotic mind whether it may be away from your hometown or near it.
When I feel down and could no longer handle situations that I think is beyond my control. I dress up, pick up my bag, and leave my bed made out of frustrations.
Living from a “not-so-urban” city, I still think that I needed to give my self some solitude in a cool and majestic scenery. It always gives me joy to see pine trees on each side of the road and green enormous mountains in front of me with flowers that bloom and is radiant as the sun. The fogs welcome me with their cool and gentle embrace. The wind combing my hair with its gentle touch and whispering on my ear with its quiet breath.
My Creator never fails to surprise me, every visit in Hoyohoy Highland Park tells a different story but it also reminds me of how great and powerful is my God. No matter what situation I am in He will always be there to guide my path and be my light when darkness comes. It is amazing how the Lord comforts me, a child who is wretched, my sin is great and I am quite ashamed of myself that I lacked faith in my Sovereign God yet His love is greater!
