The Institute of Oceanography is one of the earliest scientific research institutes in Vietnam and is considered Southeast Asia's largest marine research and archaeological facility.
The first time I visited the Museum, I was able to see the sea creatures, marine life and freshwater species that had been collected and preserved for many years, alongside living specimens kept in glass tanks.
One can not fail to mention an organic part of it is the Museum of Oceanography - which was very famous from the 30s of the last century with the wild name "Hai fishery Nha Trang Academy ". At this place, you will be watching the huge whale skeleton, nearly 18m long, 3m high, buried underground in the Red River Delta for at least 200 years.
This is truly a valuable cultural heritage center and one of the most attractive cultural and historical sites in Vietnam.
