How to park for free in Waikiki

Have you been to Hawaii before? Parking in Hawaii used to be 50 USD / week in 2002, but these days you pay 38 USD per day. Well it is valet parking but really 38 USD? That's by no means justified in my eyes. If you need free daytime parking you can always try the Walmart or Ala Moana Center, but overnight parking is usually expensive in Hawaii

Best Free Parking

If you are staying at one of the Hotels in Waikiki there is a very good spot to park your car free of charge. Along the Ala Wai Canal there is free Parking all day long (expect Friday and Monday from 8:30 to 11:30 for cleaning), the rest of the week and on weekends you can park as long as you want on the Street.

So what to do on Friday and Monday from 8:30 to 11:30 with your car? Well I recommend on Mondays going to Northshore, 8:30 is a good time to start your trip, as it will take around 1 hour to go there.
