Have you been to a German farmers market before?
While visiting a friend in Krefeld I passed by a Farmers-market called Hülser Markt in Krefeld. I took a picture while driving of some fields I wonder what kind of stuff they harvest here (potatoes, corn?)
I parked my car in a free spot (yes, unbelievable they have parking without meters in Krefeld...)
Shot out of my car
Hülser Markt Krefeld
The vegetables are really fresh
And local farmers offer their products
It is Christmas so you can buy things to decorate your house
(Fresh?) Fish
Bakery
Eggs and Goose eggs (the Goose eggs were really huge)
I didn't need anything specific but I love Farmers markets
At the bakery I bought a bread with Ham and Cheese and got some cookies. The woman told me that she makes the cookies herself. This farmers market is small but you could buy anything you needed here. Most of the stuff was organic or at least locally sourced and I really like supporting local farmers. While I often eat things from other countries in Asia, I still try to buy local when I travel.
Where is your favorite farmers market ???
