Lidl Bike in Berlin
The German Railway company Deutschebahn started their Call-a-bike program a decade ago. You can rent a bike and pay for it by the minute. Deutschebahn was going to stop the business, but they found a sponsor . Lidl the German Discounter (fastest growing in the world) is now on all bikes and 3500 brand-new bikes have been placed in Berlin.
Bike Station
New Concept
In the beginning Call a Bike didn't have stations. Now they returned to the no-stations system. You can return the bike anywhere you want and tell the provider where the bike is over phone or over your smartphone app. This is very convenient!
Would you use a Lidl Bike ??
