After visiting Jerusalem [https://steemit.com/travel/@koenigsnadja/traveling-through-israel-part-ii-jerusalem] and Tel Aviv [https://steemit.com/travel/@koenigsnadja/traveling-through-israel-part-i-tel-aviv-jaffa] we rented a car and began a short roadtrip. First stop: DEAD SEA. Drifting on the water surface of the Dead Sea was a little dream which finally came true for me =)
When we arrived, the sunset already had started and the surrounding got reflected by the water. In this moment I coudn‘t believe that this is real - I never saw such a scenery before.
During our search for a suitable place to swim we spotted large areas in which salt gets scooped [of course swimming is forbidden there].
Finally we reached a hotel and a officialy allowed place for swimming! It was fun laying on the water surface without doing anything and I hope to repeat this experience one day! =)
After wasted attempts to dive [it‘s impossible to swim underwater] we started our way to the Read Sea through the Negev. Negev is the is the israeli desert and I can‘t describe how much I love it. For many people deserts are just boring lost places with tons of sands and rocks, but maybe this is exactly what catched me.
I loved the loneliness and infinite largeness without meeting other people in most areas. In this case I have nothing to say about it anymore because my pictures are more significant than any of my words now could be.
A big recommendation goes out to Timna Parc [near Eilat and the Read Sea], it‘s an israeli national parc with impressive stone formations!
Have a nice day, Steemians :)
