Hello Dear Steemit Comunity!
I took the following pictures during a trip I made to San Miguel de Allende located in the State of Guanajuato in Mexico. I truly recommend it as a one or two day trip because it is really pretty and relatively small to walk all day, but it has a lot of slopes. It is a city where you walk uphill so just relax and enjoy the beautiful historical centre that this place offers!
It is a World Heritage Site and it has a beautiful colonial architecture, including a big Cathedral with a Gothic style. Everywhere you go there is something to see, to admire!
I want to show you this place somehow through my eyes and this is the reason I would like you to see these images and think what they mean, what is the object or place. What is the flavor of the food or the ingredients. You might have seen these things before or maybe they remind you something from your own country or a similar experience.
Lets begin!
As you know we eat a lot of things using clay vessels or dishes. Usually it is more about a nice presentation than flavor, but you will also find these in traditional restaurants. This dessert has some small transparent spheres, not so unusual but the fruit detail is not very common. What do you think the fruit is and what are these small transparent spheres?
In this photo what do you think are those strips? why they have so strong colors and what are they for? Who might have left them there?
Yes, these is delicious ice cream! but what flavors? remember we are in Mexico, we are a little crazy about some flavors :). We call "helado" to ice cream and "nieve" if it is made with water.
This place was something very common in the past, it is one of the oldest places left like this one. Isn't it beautiful? I edited the mirror as you can see, to erase the name of the place :D. I have never seen a place like this in Mexico City, something similar but not as nice as this one.
Perhaps this is more easy, in Mexico we eat a lot of sweet bread and enjoy it with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. What is the brown bread call? Is there something similar where you live?
I hope you liked these photographs and let me know what do you think they are!
Have a great day and thanks for upvoting and reestiming!
