Paris at nighttime is absolutely special. No wander its called the City of Lights. There is so much to see that looks so different at night than it is during the day.
This sparkly business is the Ferris wheel at the eastern end of the Champs Elysees, at Place de la Concorde. The Egyptian obelisk, that may seem a bit (or a lot) unrelated to this fairly European scene, is Luxor Obelisk, one of the greatest looted treasures of Napoleon Bonaparte. Admittedly, as far as cultural theft goes, the French are not innocent... But it is still absolutely gorgeous.
