Here’s a few more photos of where we stayed at the North Beach Inn on Orcas Island in the Puget Sound. We stayed in room above the office in this building shown below:
Our room had WiFi wireless Internet support, which was something it is tough for us to live without at this point. As cabins go, it was very nice with all kind of kitchen stuff that we used to cook up some nice meals with the food we brought.
I was surprised to see what looked like an old style rotary phone hanging outside the office. Sure enough it was a working phone both with free local calls. Kind of slice out of history if you ask me.
It seemed like it could use an official looking, “PHONE” sign on top and some sliding doors for privacy so that Clark Kent could change into Superman inside it - if the occasion came up.
The bedroom had some wrap around windows kind of like an old house we used to live in. Dog-oh, (not his real name so don’t bother trying to hack my bank account with my pet name, lol) just loved looking out the windows. I guess it was a new experience for him, the windows in our house are too high for him to look through.
See why not to give away details about yourself for an interesting take on security issues like giving away your pets name.
If found this odd looking rusted out machine on the beach. I couldn't figure out what it was used for at first. The first thing to came to mind was some primitive interrogation device left over from the turn of the century. It is strange what your mind comes up with sometimes, lol.
Then I saw the boats and figured it was used for hauling the boats up out of the water.
Here’s a better view of the daffodils with the boats and cabin where we stayed in the background:
The cabin experience was really fun and I got to make a real fire and split some firewood. Luckily I didn’t end up doing any lasting physical or emotional harm to myself getting the fire going, LOL.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+.
