Hello everyone! Hope you didn’t miss us too much :)

In our previous post, we told you about our unforgettable experience in Elafonisos, which is located at the southern part of the Peloponnese. Today we are back with the second part of our adventurous road-trip.

As we headed north towards central Peloponnese, we stumbled upon a hidden gem: Polilimnio. The exact translation of this area is “many lakes” which is precisely what it was! Picture lakes, waterfalls, jungle-like vegetation and sun-kissed rocks – all in one place!

That was enough to convince us to set up our tent right at the heart of this little paradise, with this guy (dog) as our guardian angel companion, relieving us of any safety concerns we may have had at the time.

He followed us from the car all the way along the man-made trail and into the crystal clear waters where we camped.

We spent 3 days exploring the area of Polilimnio, and oh my! what an exploration it was!!!
We followed maze-like natural paths, each leading us to discover spectacular lakes, beautiful waterfalls and awesome wildlife along the way. The waters were so clean that we did not have to carry any water bottles around… We drank it straight from the source!

Only a couple of hours away, lies the majestic beach of Voidokilia - in our opinion, one of the best beaches in Greece! (source: Google)

After a relaxing and playful time at this beach, we enjoyed the sunset over a glass of wine and some freshly grilled fish at the nearest tavern.

Although we were having too much fun, it was time for us to continue our journey...
