Recently, when running my last Spartan Race (I will post about it soon), I visited the city of Bilbao in northern Spain. This capital of Basque Country is a charming city set up in the range between the mountains. It was built around Nervión river and used to be a port city, because of it's close location to Bay of Biscay (only 16 km away).
All photos have been taken with my Motorola G5 smartphone, so the panoramic shots have a bit worse quality.
[Massive stained glass art inside the main train station.]
[Photo of the city panorama from the ancient Artxanda mountain - 6000 years old burial grounds were discovered around the area.]
[Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Named as one of the most important works by the experts from World Architecture Survey. I found it ugly though.]
[The river Nervión in city centre.]
[Panoramic photo of the city centre.]
[Reminds me a bit of Amsterdam.]
[Casco Viejo. City's old town]
[Casco Viejo. Very gay friendly district.]
[Catedral De Santiago in Casco Viejo.]
[Streets of the old town on Sunday morning.]
[Plaza Nueva with its neoclassical architecture. Casco Viejo.]
I Hope that you enjoyed the photo tour.
