hi steemit friends π
last Friday I went on a trip to New Mexico and I just have to share it because it was soooo beautiful.
this place is called White Sands (and the name only makes sense:)
It is so peaceful and quiet and you get to enjoy the beauty of nature. As you can see in the pictures not a lot of people were there. I don't know if we were just lucky or if its always a quiet place. It is so huge (275 square miles) so people don't need to be at the same spot π
I love nature and I was totally overwhelmed by its beauty.
its definitely worth going there. White Sands National Monument lays in southern New Mexico (over the Chihuahuan Desert) and is the largest gypsum dunefield IN THE WORLD!
There are different activities you can do. There are small and big hiking trails. You can go sliding on the dunes! I even saw horses there. And if youre lucky you get to see different wild animals.
Unfortunately I had no time to go hiking there buuuut I got to see the sunset! And I think that was the best part of it. It was quiet. No people around us. And the view was breathtaking.
(We just had to) haha
I will definitely go there again. Next time with a sled to slide down on the white sand π
So if you've a chance to go there - do it! π
