When in Ouarzazate you can visit 2 nice villages on the kasbah route. Those are the villages of Aid Ben Haddou and the village of Skoura. Aid Ben Haddou is the most authentic but visited by many tourists.
If you are looking for something off the tourist route then it's a good idea to visit Skoura. Skoura is a small village on the kasbah route to the Sahara. It is situated 20 min drive from Ouarzazate. You can get a shared taxi from the gare routiere in Ouarzazate and drive to Skoura in about 20 mins. It has not so much to offer as Aid Ben Haddou, but still the old kasbah and the palm gardens are sure worth the visit. There are no official guides there but you meet people who are willing to show you around for a few dirhams.
This is the old kasbah from the village. No one lives here anymore but it is still maintained by a family:
