Hi my lovelies,
Over the weekend in the UK it has been absolutely beautiful weather and how could you not make the most of this during these last few days! I have have had the wonderful opportunity to go visit the old city of Cambridge. It is absolutely inspiring, from the history of the University dating back to it's establishment in 1209 to the old pubs and of course of punting down the river Cam.
If you ever get the opportunity I highly recommend coming here and experiencing this picturesque landscape, I was only able to visit briefly for the weekend, however there is so much more to explore.
When I arrived I went for a lovely stroll from Cambridge through to Grantchester Village whilst stopping off at the Red Lion Pub for a quick refreshing drink! On the way back I was very surprised to find a herd of cows congregating as they often do in Cambridge and couldn't miss the opportunity to take a snap with them.
I decided to explore Parker's Piece and discovered that there was a local free event called the Cambridge Big Weekend, where there was live music and food and drink stalls. I was listening to a Reggae band whilst having a cider and enjoying the sunny afternoon.
In the end time ran short and I didn't get the opportunity to go punting, hopefully next time though! So here is a picture on Garret Hostel bridge overlooking Trinity College bridge, as it was coming towards the end of the day you can see the empty punts parked on the side of the river, looks very serene right?
I had the opportunity to check out Sidney Sussex College, which was absolutely beautiful, it is a haven in the middle of the city! Founded on St. Valentine's day in 1596 you can see it is truly romantic and stunning.
I hope you enjoyed Cambridge as much as I did!
Catch you soon!
Love Margo
xoxo
