I've visited Greece, a country of thousands islands, in the late summer of 2015. and spent some some days on wonderful island Zakynthos, or in Greek: Ζάκυνθος. According to Greek mythology, island was named after Zakynthos, son of legendary king Dardanus - who was himself was a son Zeus and Electra. That was my first time I swam in beautiful Ionean sea.
Today I want to share with you an amazing experience (and only couple of photos) of the most amazing beach called Navagio.
It is a sandy, isolated cove and you can get to it only two ways: by air or, commonly, by boat, as we did.
This beach is often called a Shipwreck because of an incident that happen in 1980. when a boat, if you believe rumors, was smuggling cigarettes and wine, stranded on the coast. You can still see some ship leftovers on the beach - and yes, it is one of the most famous and most photographed beaches in Greece.
I was, however, AMAZED by the sea color - I mean, how blue can you go? It is the bluest of the blue I've seen in my life. I wish I have a better photos, but sun got into my head... :D
I just saved this few ones as souvenir to my amazing Greek week :)
All photos are mine, taken with my old phone and have #nofilters.
Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs.
What is your dream beach?
Have a lovely weekend, guys!
xoxo,
Matejka
