If you follow me or , I'm sure you've noticed that we love our local river, The Jacks Fork! It's just a short drive outside of our hometown of Mountain View, Missouri.
We finally got to take our kids out on a float for the first time this year with some of wonderful family and friends.
Here are our daughters, Maci and Annabel, paddling around in the crystal clear water while waiting for the day to start!
Our Yorkie, Bastian, loves to go floating with us. He was keeping a close eye on the fish in this picture :)
We had a total of 9 kayaks in our group, so it was impossible to keep the group completely together as we floated. That's part of the fun though! We get to visit in smaller groups as we paddle and then we all stop several times throughout the day as the full group.
Stopping for some lunch
And a little fishing
And of course, lots of swimming!
About midway through the trip, we stopped to let the kids jump off of this little ledge. and I grew up on this river, so we are proud to teach our own children how to have fun, but also to be careful and aware of their surroundings at all times.
We are so fortunate to be so close to this wonderful place and we try to visit as much as possible, throughout all of the seasons. Follow me if you enjoy nature, music, writing or photography!
