A while ago, it occurred to me that I took many photos of buildings at the time my former office was still located in the city center of Vienna. The office was a century old building that was renovated into a modern büro headquarters. It was actually so huge for us that we only occupied the west wing as all other employees work out of the country. My office window was facing the belfry of St. Anna Church which is a barock type of architecture which to this date, the 2 bells ring every hour....i.e. when the time hits 12:00 PM, the bell rings 12 times. For me, the sound of the bells were nice to hear, but if you hear them every hour, it was something else. Lol!
From my files I found some images that were taken when I made an errand some 3 streets away from the office. It was a nice day so I thought of taking pics to whichever building I passed. And I am sharing them here so you could see how the buildings look like in the city center within the ring of the 1st District of Vienna, These are just a few of them, there are hundreds if not a thousand structures which were built during the reign of the Habsburg Dynasty until the 1st World War.
the St. Stephens Cathedral or Stephansdom
Part 2 will surely be coming soon, I hope you enjoy the view of these fine architecture.
