Dear Steemit friends,
After a very stressful month at work, I needed a break. This weekend we had +37c degrees in Athens so I have decided to go with my wife to Elafonissos island, which as you will see is a true paradise!
Elafonissos island is a very small island in South of Peloponnese aprox. 4 – 5 hours (depending how crazy you drive) from Athens. We have left on Friday afternoon and as you can imagine I couldn’t wait to leave from my work and get there. It took us 4 hours to get there since I was driving like a maniac. I was afraid we would miss the last ferry from Punta beach to take us to the island. Luckily enough we got right on time.

We have checked in a decent studio apartment called “Boula”.

The time has passed so we went for a walk in the lively small port. The port has some very nice taverns where you can eat really nice fresh fish. Believe it or not there are just few islands in Greece where you can actually eat fresh fish during the summer and Elafonisos is one of them. All the taverns are amazing. Our favorite one is “Ourania”.

The next morning is what we have been waiting for… Simos beach! Simos beach in Elafonissos island is one of the best beaches in Greece. There are so many photos to show so I have decided to make a couple of videos just for you guys.
