After being too tired the day before to make it, and I finally made it to the legendary Snoqualmie Falls in Washington state! Because of how popular and accessible these falls are, the crowd is much larger than we are used to. When you go to a falls with a decent hike, it can deter a lot of people away, and if you just stay at the top here, no hike required. So as you can imagine, big crowds of all ages.
It is a mile hike down to the bottom view that you see below, and damn it is a fun uphill going back up (joking)! Hailey was super upset we could not get down to the actual bottom to the rocks and shore below. It appears the only way down was through a locked door/gate that was too high to get over. She was so disappointing, but one day we will figure out how you get down there and adventure! And I know you can because I know people who have, just waiting to hear how..
The splash zone makes it all the way to the top where we were taking photos and there is another falls just below the platform but it was too close to get a decent photo. There is also a nice hotel on the top of the falls as you can see in the photos, and is popular for wedding, as we even saw a couple getting married! And the one part I do not like is they made a hydro electric dam right there, so what could be the most gorgeous natural scenery, is surrounded by man and his ugly, yet currently useful creations....But at least we made a piece of it art in the photo of Hailey hanging below.
This is an absolute must see and is accessible to any and everyone!
