Hello Steemians. Here I bring you a post about Las Cuevas Del Indio, Caracas, Venezuela. One month ago I had the opportunity to go on an expedition in Las Cuevas Del Indio with several of my best friends, and this is where I will tell you my experience about Las Cuevas Del Indio.

The area where Las Cuevas Del Indio is is very surrounded by nature. Proof of this is the amount of vegetation found in the place. Also very close there is a small river that can be seen from a path and you can see rock formations in which people can climb the rock formations

When we arrived at Las Cuevas Del Indio we started a journey along a dirt track, where we could appreciate the amount of vegetation that there is in the place. The route of the path can tire a bit since there are parts in which there are very strong climbs. After doing the whole route of the path we arrived at the entrance of the cave. When we were at the entrance it was time to prepare to enter. To enter the cave it is advisable to wear a helmet because there are stalactites and you can hit any of them and hurt yourself badly. You must also have flashlights to enter and if not, you can not see anything.
Entering the cave we found very small spaces where we had to pass, and after that when we were inside the cave we began to explore, I with my best five friends went by a kind of bridge that passed over a tunnel where other people were exploring.
After a while exploring the cave, myself and my five best friends found "the entrance to hell." I particularly liked the idea of giving name to that place, since it is a part of the cave where it is lowered vertically by a very narrow tunnel and when you get to the first underground chamber it is very hot.

Already being in "the entrance to hell" I began to descend. The space was so small that I had to take off the package I was wearing. After having gone down I realized that it was an underground chamber (the space of the camera was bigger than the space where it was lowered) where there was a little more space, but there could only be three people maximum.
Being in "hell," I told one of my best friends that he could go down. After he got off we turned on the camera and started to walk around. At the time we were exploring the area we saw two bats and we got scared, and then we laughed, but we kept going,. After a while I realized that there was another tunnel to go down.
My friend and I looked at each other and we had the same drive to continue down. After having inspected the descent and discussed which part we should go down to make sure, they called us to leave. We had to leave since the teacher/guide told us we had to leave. I took this moment to explain why we should leave, as I said Las Cuevas Del Indio are in Caracas, Venezuela, one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Because of that and the area where Las Cuevas Del Indio are, for safety of all we should be out of that area at 12:00 am to not have a hard time. It was very likely that we would have been robbed, murdered, or kidnapped, and why at 12:00 am? Because the guard of the park had warned us that after 12:00 am the thugs (who commit robberies or other criminal acts) leave after that time. And good to avoid any kind of circumstances we had to get out of there.
" Coming out of hell "
After leaving and returning to the meeting point, I and two of my best friends decided to go to see the river. In that part of the trail down to the river, we took a couple of photos and I told them:
- "Let's explore the river."

They accepted and we went upstream. While we went up we found small waterfalls, which we climbed.
Also in the river we found tadpoles and small toads that were jumping. But my favorite part was when we found a fallen tree and we mounted on top of it to take pictures. After all we decided to go ahead and leave.
