This evening I got back to the hotel from dinner and decided to check out the casino. They gave us $10 in free credit with the conference, so why not make sure to use it?
There were rules... you had to spend it all on one machine, and you had to use it by midnight. So I picked a machine and it was gone in a hurry.
I brought some cash with me. I allowed up to $40 a day for the casino. So I pulled out a 20, found another machine that looked good and sat down.
I was down to about $12 when I hit a bonus and was up to $60. A quick $40 won! Hurray!!!
I cashed out and took my ticket looking for the next machine that called out to me. I sat down and played some more. Went down a bit, then hit again and was up to $80.
Another machine change and wasnt so lucky. Went down to $30 before changing machines again.
Then I found the machine in the picture. Silver 7s... it has Silver in the title so of course I have to sit down!
Got back up to $70 on that before losing back down to $40. Okay time to move on. I had seen another machine that called out to me earlier, but every time i walked by someone was on it. It was the enchanted mermaid slot. Precious personified.
Too bad when I finally got on the machine Precious was in a foul mood and took everything back down to my original $20. Bad naughty Precious!
I could have taken my $20 and be on my way back to my room at break even, but where's the fun in that???
So I found another promising machine The Gold Bar. Another good sounding machine. I worked my $20 back up to $39.20. I told myself if I hit $40 I would cash out, but $39.20 is not $40 so i kept playing. And lost it all. All the way to 0.
In the end, I played over an hour and a half of slots for $20. That's not a bad entertainment value. And that's what I play for. I'd love to hit a jackpot, sure, but it is the entertainment novelty of the slot machines that is fun to me.
How would you play it? Would you cash out when you had 4x your buy in? Or keep playing for more fun and possibly more earnings?
