Pearl Valley popularly known as Muthayala Maduvu is a wonderful yet secluded place in Bangalore India. It is some 10-12 kms from Electronic City and makes an ideal place for picnic, nature walk and chill out near the waterfall.
It is a small waterfall and the water which splashes on the surface of the rocks gives an appearance of the pearl and hence derives the name of pearl valley. It is a small waterfall, yet the cool breeze makes it one of the best places to spend a day in weekend.
It is also known for the dense forest and natural beauty. The sunset in this place is a marvellous sight and one can spend the evening watching the beautiful sunset. However, as a caution it is better to leave the place post sunset as the area is prone to wild animals including elephants.
I went along with my friends and relatives for a picnic to this place. We had to descend around 50-60 stairs to see the waterfall and even went for a nature walk. As it was weekend, the place was a bit crowded however it was fun. There is also a lake nearby and the roads are maintained well. You need to be very careful with the food stuffs as there are abundant monkeys in this place.
Overall it was a well spent day amidst nature and fresh air and last but not the least, the beautiful sunset which was a feast for the eyes.
