A festive weekend in France.
As I write this the Marseillaise is playing on the TV in the lead-up to the World Cup final. Hopefully there will be more good news for the French later today, but in the meantime here are a few photos taken as we walked home yesterday evening - Bastille Day.
Narbonne is a beautiful city, it has a canal through the heart of the town and on either sides are incredible buildings full of history. We have only lived here a few months, and last night was the latest we had been out in town.!
This photo is taken standing on the pedestrian bridge. Ahead the canal goes under a street of shops.
This was where the band were set up. They had a long night, and were still going strong when we left.
This is taken from the bank of the canal with the cathedrale lit up in the background.
