Hello Steemit.
A few weeks ago i visited the picturesque Italianate village of Portmeirion. Situated in Gwynedd,North Wales.
Built and designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975,but now owned by a charitable trust.
The village is very colourful and built on the coast, with elevated areas full of lots of nooks and crannies to explore.
The village has a cafe, shops and a hotel for those lucky enough to stay over night.
The village itself holds a music festival called festival number 6 each year in September. I haven't yet attended this festival but i am hoping next year will be my first time .
When visiting Portmeirion you don't have to stay in the village as there is a lovely surrounding woodland walk available too which leads onto a beach.
I went with my friend Ben on this visit and we took over 200 photographs on our travels.
There is so much to see so i've tried to pick out a little variety to share with you.
The series The Prisoner was filmed at the Portmeirion location, starring Patrick McGoohan.
Thank you for reading my post and i would definitely recommend a visit here if in the area.
