WE SURVIVED ANGELS LANDING!!!

If you love hiking then this is the HIKE for you. A friend of mine mentioned this hike to me as my boyfriend and i were going to Zion National Park. I did some research before going and although it looked pretty cool, youtube videos terrified me . lol
I was quite skeptical after watching videos and reading some articles about it that i wasnt sure exactly how this was going to play out on the day. We started out early morning into Zion , not really knowing what to expect. You hear stories and see pictures of how beautiful it looks, but it sure is a sight to see. From the moment you enter, all you can see is red, red, everywhere. Even the road is red. Just beautiful. On our travel into the park we were fortunate to see several big horn sheep . sooo cool.!.![IMG_2396.jpg](
We drove quite far into the park in order to reach the visitors center to catch a bus to the start of Angels landing. They had one of the chains( that is a huge part of the hike) in the center we were able to catch a glimpse of before we attempted this hike. Scary but it was nice to see it was a pretty huge chain to put my mind at ease somewhat.
There were several tourists on our bus, but it didnt seem like many were going to angels Landing. Were we the only CRAZY ones???
Once the bus dropped us off, we started our climb. It starts out pretty easy with alot of switchbacks, and once you reach a certain point a sign appears, in which you start your real descent up with the chains. At this point i still wasn't sure i would be able to do it but didn't want to disappoint my boyfriend. He was warned that i may quit. Well, I am proud to say, no quitting . It was AWESOME. I never really felt unsafe . The chains were great and although i didn't look down, it was totally amazing. It was tough some parts but nothing what i was expecting and tons of other hikers. If you are ever in Zion , this is definitely worth it. Start out early morning to beat the heat and the crowds, bring water , lunch and enjoy the view from the top as it is truly amazing !
