Decided to go on a Girls Trip, we planned to visit Somnath and Diu. We started our day heading to the temples of Somnath. There is great importance of pilgrimages in India. These places are necessary to visit for getting inner peace.
Somnath: Cultural Heritage
Somnath Temple is a significant temple, comprising one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Located in Prabhas Kshetra near Veraval, Somnath Mandir falls in Saurashtra region that lies on the western coast of Gujarat. Somnath Temple stands as a symbol of rich cultural heritage of India.
Somnath Beach
It is famous for its beautifully sparkling waves and long stretches of gray sands. Travelers come here after a long day of sightseeing, although, swimming is not recommended.
Diu
Diu is a tiny island infused with Portuguese history. There you will find small colourful houses. If you just really need a beer, Diu offers a refreshing break. I had my first beer there. The streets of the main town are clean and you can ride scooter to visit tourist spots.
Diu Fort:
The fort is a striking structure on the coast of the Diu island. You can view Arabian Sea from there. Sea has an mesmerizing feeling.
St. Paul Church
The church is built in the Baroque architectural style and this is one of the famous tourist attractions in DIu.
Nagao Beach:
One of the most happening beaches in Diu. We had very less time left so we decided to visit this beach and then head back to college. The place is always crowded, but you may get some less crowded spots / stretches.
Para Sailing
This was the most exciting thing that happened to me during this trip.
Speed Boating
Arabian Sea
Sea is vast and huge. You can totally lost into it.
Unknown Place ??
This was the best place which we discovered accidently as we were travelling on roads. You can sit there and in front there is huge sea.
