We had a long weekend holiday for the Eid festival and with that I along with some of my friends had planned an overnight trip to the mountains. This place that we went is 3 hours drive from the city, it's a long drive and long drives can be fun as well sometimes they can be dangerous also. After having a good time at our overnight stay, the next day while we were returning we met with an accident.

Hubby was driving and it was all going good, we were 5 cars together on the road following each other. It was the last half an hour road remaining to back home and before that everyone wanted to take a coffee break at the gas station as some of them wanted to have a coffee, we were all in touch through whatsapp group. I missed that message and me and hubby went ahead of everyone, later when I checked we took a halt and waited for everyone to come along. Once they finished their coffee break and back on the road, we continued.

It was barely 5 mins drive after the break and hubby's eyes closed, he did not mention that he was sleepy or tired, but somehow he just got that one wink and in that moment the car drifted towards the center divider. I was awake and quickly realized and shouted and he was also fast in action and immediately turned the car, but by then it had hit the divider, the action was very quick so the impact was less and it did not bang very hard else it would had been a very major accident. Because he could take a quick turn the divider scratched the full car all the way till back but that was ok compared to what we got saved from. The other lucky thing was that there were no other cars in our next lane or behind us so that's why he could take that sharp move and got saved.

After that we stopped in the parking lane and called up the police. They took around half an hour to arrive. Once they came they inspected the site and the car, did all the paper work formalities for the Insurance and we had to go to the police station along with them for some other formalities to complete. All of this took around 2 hours. Some of our friends cars had crossed us but 2 cars were still behind us and as soon as this happened they too stopped with us and helped us with all of this chaos.

I really feel it was a very lucky day, we made a very close save, because normally these accidents are fatal, we were in the fast lane at a speed of 135, to take control of the car in that speed is not easy and with god's grace there were absolutely no other cars driving next to us or immediately behind us, which gave us lot of room to turn around, else we could have saved from the divider and hit into another car. It was all like a miracle saving, coming so close to something very fatal and getting saved.

That's our car, it will take at least a month now for the repairing to happen till then probably we will rent a car for a month's time. You can see here there is very less impact, it could had been a disaster.
