The Roman history was always amazing for me

Three years ago, I had the chance to visit an amazing site of the old Roman Empire, in Germany. The place is named The Roman Baths in Weißenburg and it provide the visitors with an impressive testimony of Roman times. Not far from the large Roman fort Biriciana lies the remarkably well-preserved bathing complex, where the tourists can see foundations and rising masonry up to a height of 2.5 m. The Weißenburg thermal baths seem to be a civilian bath built by the military.
We have started our tour at the Führsteg, from where we could see all the rooms of the Therme. What was interesting to see, is the parts of the former gym and spa with arcade and also the remains of a later sports hall. The heated water rooms were simply amazing taking in consideration the time when they were build and how Romans were able to use such advanced technology, for that time.
During our visit, we've also watched some interesting documentaries, that explained how during the excavations of the Roman thermal baths here in Weißenburg also numerous finds came on the surface, such as jewelry items, hairpins, cosmetic equipment, shards of clay and glass vessels, tokens, coins, etc. Through this, the life and bustle in this characteristic site of Roman culture at the Limes in Raetia is impressively illuminated. These finds can be found in the families at the Römermuseum Weißenburg.
After our visit in Weißenburg Roman Baths, the next day, we enjoyed being part of an opening celebration for a new factory of one of our suppliers in Weißenburg.
