Located 25 km's from Antalya, Termessos, an antique city build on the slopes of mount Solymus, a strategic position that kept it safe from the armies of Alexander The Great in 334 B.C. when he started his campaign conquering large parts of the Eastern antique world.

The site located in a Natural park is a good hike up the mountain, but when you are there ancient remains are everywhere. This used to be a road with small edifices baring Hellenistic texts lining the road.

The terrain is so difficult to access, that much has been lying there just the way it has been for centuries, after earthquackes, disaster.
A place to visit, without a doubt. Much of the characteristics of the culture dating to the same age before the Romans are found at other sites, rockgraves are my favourite.
