What a unique and wonderful city is Venice!
Last week I travelled to Venice for work and I had the chance to spend sometime walking around its beautiful buildings, taste good Italian food and have some rest looking around.
Transport:
Very easy to reach by train. The station is actually at the entrance of downtown.
Once you get out of the station you could immediately realize you are in unique city.
Visiting:
Start walking over the only modern bridge you will find there.. look at it from downup because it seems a backbone.
Once you cross the canal grande river you can say you are In downtown.
Now it’s time to take whatever street you want cause directions are very clear and you will very easily reach every point of interest like.
Main attractions are:
Rialto bridge view
San Marco square
sospiri bridge
look at San Giorgio Church
take vaporetto boat
For about 7.5 euros you can have a tour on the gran canale main river with a boat. Local people also use it as public transport.
Look at all beautiful buildings built just over the water.. amazing!
