I am not a party person, so a few years ago, the idea of visiting Ibiza was inconceivable. For me, it was as bad as going to sin city; Las Vegas. So when my sister and her husband moved there about 4 years ago, I thought they had lost their minds. What was in Ibiza except drunken Brexiters, celebrities hooked on drugs, and gold diggers? Well, there was one way to find out! So my sister convinced me to visit during February, and promised I would not see all the things I associated Ibiza with since it was not the party season. So I gave Ibiza a chance, and I was truly impressed. In fact, it's a beautiful island with a lot of things to offer - that is if you go between September/October to May. Here are few photos from that trip.
As you can see from the photos, I love nature and like to visit places where there are less people, and more scenery. Though I was there for a few days, my sister and I went hiking everyday, visited a horse stable, and went out to eat. I didn't take photos of the city centre as I didn't see anything worth capturing. This is not to say the city centre is not beautiful, but it was nothing particularly special. For example, there are many fancy restaurants, yachts and fast cars. But those things don't impress me so didn't see the need to capture them. As for architecture, it was not very different to many Spanish cities/towns.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and it's an island worth visiting off-peak if you don't like parties, traffic or rubbish!
