In this post I’d like to take you on a trip with me. Are you ready? My friend Tak and I planned this 4 night 3 day trip. Because I didn't want to spend a lot of money I chose a night bus to Kanazawa city, which was the first destination. The bus took about 6 hours to get there. We arrived at 6 a.m. The weather was quite chilly😣.

After I washed my face to refresh, we got ready to explore Kanazawa city.

Kanazawa City

Kanazawa city is located in Ishikawa Prefecture and is called little Kyoto because it still had had wooden houses and the atmosphere is similar to Kyoto.

We only had 4 or 5 hours here so we decided to visited Higashi Chaya. But before we headed there, we stopped at the huge gate in front of Kanazawa station, which is Kanazawa’s symbol of travel memories.

It was early morning, so, I was able to get a great picture without people.

We took a local bus in front of the station, but we didn't have a guide map. We just read the signs, but we weren't sure where we were going. After we got on the bus we asked a student group to make sure.
The bus fee from Kanazawa Station to Higashi Chaya district is 200 yen.

Higashi-Chaya District

Higashi-Chaya District is the largest of the Chaya districts in Kanazawa. There are traditional Japanese houses along the street made of wood. Chaya is a traditional place where geisha entertain people by performing dances or singing. It opens around 10 AM every day. This morning there weren't many people, so we enjoyed some peaceful time before the tourists came.
