First time climbing outside in Saraburi Thailand
Hello everyone, today I would like to take you on my trip to Nam Pha Pa Yai Camp, Kaeng Khoi Saraburi. It's easy to travel there from Bangkok by car or train - just 2-3 hours. I don't have a car so I took the train!
From Bangkok Hua Lum Pong train station the ticket is just 50B to Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi. From Kaeng Koi train station you'll need a taxi or motorbike taxi (taxi 400B per 1 car, motorbike 200B per person) to take you to Nam Pha Pa Yai Camp. The taxi ride is around 30 minutes.
Nam Pha Pa Yai Camp has many activities such as climbing, camping, kayaking but we're here only to climb. As for accommodation, there's 2 options - tents and a treehouse. There's no fans or aircoin, only nature to keep you cool!
What do you need to take? You'll need your phone with 3G internet, toiletries, snacks, climbing gear and a flash light. Water and food can be purchased from the restaurant at local prices.
The climbing Nam Pha Pa Yai has 3 climbing areas. The School Wall, Bat Cave and River. In total around 80 routes. The wall which runs along the river is the most popular, partly due to the fact you need to use a zipline to get to it! The routes range from 4 to 8b so there's something for everyone ;)
