The way of living in the Mediterranean villages and cities is so much different than the city we live in. Not that somewhere is better than elsewhere, but it's just different.

One of the things is in common - when the night comes, the city shows its hidden treasures, which were almost hidden by day. Every evening I am impressed all over again by the beauty of this small city.

At the entrance of the port of Makarska, there is standing a statute of St. Peter the Apostle who is looking towards the city.

If you take a moment to walk around, you can even see some really talented artists and their masterpieces. I didn't saw the price tag on them, but I can bet some of them were really expensive.
