Extraordinary vivid colours is what makes this place so beautiful. There are many trips and excursions with boat heading to these caves and they take care there's no to much crowd inside. However it is better to visit these places before the season for better experience.

I always loved the island of Vis or Issa, as our ancestors used to call it in history. It's sea is really amazing and clear. I remember once, while I was working on one film there drinking coffee in early morning (oh) how lovely was it to see the dolphins swimming near the coast. It made me happy like a child.

Blue Cave

Nothing is more beautiful than nature like this. It's amazing effect always amuses me. This is outside the cave.

When you go inside the blue cave the colours are still amazing deep blue indigo unlike outside the turqoise. Years ago one artist made exhibition inside the cave under the sea with her fine sculptures. It was amazing. My brother helped to set up the exhibit.

This is picture under the sea where you can finally feel the vividness of the blue in total. So mesmerizing! However, I don't think they allow swimming during the season to tourists. But you can try with Issa Diving Center. It's a really great school and diving centre in Vis. There is a lot of to explore under the sea.

Even from the picture you can sense the calmness and effect Blue Cave makes, imagine how better in real it is. A must visit place if you ever go trough Croatia.

Green Cave

Let's enter the Green Cave. Second must see place in Vis.

For me this is sacred places. Better than the Church, or having similar effect just this is all natural arhitecture, therefor better.
You can rent kayak ang go there by yourself if you ever feel exploring. It's better than going with organised boat tours. Maybe you can come up earlier and have this beautiful place for yourself to enjoy.

Stiniva Beach

The most charming beach on Vis is this one. But unfortunately usually crowded because of it's popularity. It is a really rare phenomena with huge ring rocks with the view. Many boats come there to take a rest and swim.

On Vis you can enjoy nice friendly and chill atmosphere and some really great fish restaurants. Definitely a place worth experiencing. If you ever seen Big Blue film and loved it, then YES! This is place for you!
