Goodmorning Steemians!
We just left the Grand Canyon, heading for some new adventures on our roadtrip!
The beauty of this roadtrip is that we didn’t plan anything. So every day we start off with some coffee and a map of the States to plan one or maybe two days ahead.
Today we are exactly twenty days on the road and I think it’s time to look back on our journey so far. We started in San Francisco, not knowing what the States would be like. We even had this moment in the plane where we looked at each other and thought: “W..T..F.. are we doing?!” But after arriving we let it go and just tried to live in the moment.
Well, we lived a bit too much in the moment I guess... haha. Cause we really have to think hard of what we did in the first week. So yesterday we took the time to relax a bit and look back on what we did for the last twenty days.
Right before we left, Luuk found this this super cool mobile app called “Polarsteps”. It’s an app that tracks your trip. You make an account, add a trip and off you go!
The best thing is that he tracks your steps even without having mobile data. So he constantly updates this map and gives you a great view of your trip. You can add photos and write down your stories on the specific pins on the map. Every time your device gets data it will update your trip with the things you add to it.
Because we travel day by day, this app gives us a great view on where we are and what we all did in the past weeks. But the people who love this app the most are…..of course……our families! They can create an account as well and follow us on our journey.
So yesterday we were sitting in front of our motel room (yes we do that a lot..haha) looking back on the last twenty days and said to each other: We are sooo much more relaxed than a couple of weeks ago!! Moving to Curacao is going to be a piece of cake! Haha
We aren’t changed as people I think but we changed a lot in the way we are thinking. Living with so less makes you appreciate the smallest things and that’s a great feeling!
We are ready for the next weeks! We’re heading up East so follow us to keep updated!
