This photo is from the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud. It's a well known tourist spot. Vendors sell food openly to visitors. The monkeys in turn have learned to expect food from humans and will quickly grab things like bananas if they see it but don't appear to have much interest in humans otherwise.
At Uluwatu temple, on the southern tip of the island in Badung, there are also plenty of monkeys. Feeding them is strictly prohibited though and the monkeys react very different to humans. While they don't expect food they are curious about items humans carry. It's common for them to snatch things like sunglasses or toys, basically anything they can. They will then scurry off and examine the item, bending and hitting it until it breaks or they lose interest. Besides the monkeys the Hindu temples are beautiful as well and there are spectacular views off the cliff-side and down to ocean below.
