Sicily offers many beautiful touristic sights. But purpose of Steemit is not to show the typical touristic things that everyone can see. Do you agree with me here? We should write about things that are truly unique just like our favourite platform. I hope you enjoy in the following series of Sicilian posts I prepared for you. The content is original as it gets as all the photos were made solely from my iPhone.

A Project Like No Other: Farm Cultural Park
Founded in 2010 when Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva purchased couple of buildings in the not so known city of Favara in south of Sicily and renovated them completely, created a cultural center that can remind someone on an artsy neighbourhood in Berlin. At least I got this feeling when walking through.
Say hello to the impressive art
Re-awakened town
Before building this cool art centre this town was pretty much boring and with no perspective. The Farm Cultural Park turned things around as now many tourists visit it and bring life and money to the town. A good proof how art and creativity can make our life better.
Artsy but yet still cozy like Italy
It brought a lot of happening
This cultural center now hosts exhibitions made by international and local artists, cultural evenings, screenings, restaurants and shops. It also has a very special open roof art museum that is trully exceptional.
Hey, who took the roof?
Authours deserve a real praise
When searching some extra information about the park online I found the authors quote why they went into this investment. This are their words according to Wikipedia: "We were tired of always having to go to places like New York or London to see anything interesting, as we wanted to find a way to transform and improve the area we were living in, for ourselves but also for our kids."
The ticket would cost you 5 Euro per person but it offers great views and a good cause
Conclusion
If you love art you should visit this place. Extra points because it revived an old town and brought something beautiful to it. For sweets and coffee lovers there are also nice pasticcerias in neighbourghood where you can really enjoy in true Sicilian hospitality.
Very, very, very tasty!
I hope you enjoyed discovering hidden Sicilian jewels with me. Next week I am preparing a new hidden wonder and I hope it would make your trip to Sicily even more authentic.
